Forest Documents (2025) Artist: Leila Sujir
I have collaborated with artist and filmmaker Leila Sujir on a series of large-scale stereoscopic and immersive video installation projects that combine contemporary art, experimental cinema, and advanced projection technologies.
As Technical Director, I oversaw the post-production and exhibition implementation of these works, managing video editing, stereoscopic workflows, media preparation, and projection system design. My role involved translating artistic concepts into reliable technical installations, ensuring optimal image quality and seamless presentation across gallery, museum, and large-format exhibition environments.
For Forest Documents, I managed the stereoscopic post-production workflow, edited the video content, and designed the technical infrastructure required for the 3D installation. This included preparing synchronized projection systems and ensuring accurate stereoscopic presentation within the exhibition space.
Through these projects, I have developed extensive experience in stereoscopic cinema, immersive media installations, multi-projector systems, exhibition technologies, and the integration of technical production workflows within contemporary art contexts.
I ♥ Snail (2026) Artist: Oliver Husain
I served as the technical consultant for the exhibition's immersive 3D stereoscopic dual-projection installation, supporting the realization of Oliver Husain's Golden Snail within a gallery environment. My responsibilities included the design and configuration of the dual-projector stereoscopic system, image alignment and calibration, playback synchronization, and exhibition technical support.
The exhibition explored the history of IMAX cinema as both an experimental film format and a tool of cultural and technological nation-building. Centered on the premiere of Golden Snail (2026), a new immersive 3D installation derived from Husain's original IMAX film Garden of the Legend of the Golden Snail (2019), the project examined the intersections of mythology, modernization, and spectacle through the history of Indonesia's Keong Emas (Golden Snail) Theatre.
The installation required a precisely calibrated stereoscopic projection environment capable of presenting large-scale 3D imagery while maintaining image quality, depth perception, and synchronization throughout the exhibition. Working closely with the artist and exhibition team, I developed the technical infrastructure necessary to deliver a reliable and immersive viewing experience for visitors.
